We have two sites located in Kerala. One of them is a 120-acre piece of land
is in a hill station area, 3500 feet above sea level. It is located at the tip
of the Western Ghats in Kerala, part of the Sahya Range, contiguous with the
Anamalai Hills at the southern tip of India. The area borders a forest sanctuary
and tropical rainforest and is used as a plantation growing coffee and cardamom.
The land is in a spectacular location in a valley between these forested hill
ranges.

Arabica coffee, cardamom, and pepper are grown as shade crops using organic methods.
Future products are being developed with the intention of working with original natural
techniques, serving two purposes: these techniques are generally non-harmful to the
land and it is an endeavor to preserve/restore and extend local knowledge and skills.

All of these products and crops are produced in a non-impact manner.

Inheritance India's commitment to organic farming techniques extends beyond our own plantation.
We are attempting to work with other local owners to change over to organic farming. Recognizing
that many of these plantations adjoin areas where wildlife abounds, we are trying to find ways to
persuade other growers to find better methods of allowing wildlife, bio-diversity and the plantations
to co-exist peacefully.
